While Wellington city has numerous green areas and walkways close to the central city, no green
space is as easily reached as Frank Kitts Park.
This part of the Wellington waterfront is
a shining jewel in the city's crown. The Park forms a section of the waterfront walking promenade,
which stretches from Queens Wharf through Oriental Bay to Evans Bay near the Wellington
International Airport.
In Frank Kitts Park itself, kids can play in safety, office workers will take a quick relaxing
break and the open areas are often used for outdoor events and exhibitions.
To the south is the Taranaki Street Wharf,
Odlins Plaza and Te Papa; to the north is Queens Wharf with its TSB Bank Arena, restaurants and shops; to the
west are beautiful views of Port Nicholson; and to the west is the high-rise bustle of Wellington’s CBD.
