The Arena Aquatic Centre is located in Porirua within Te Rauparaha Arena which
also contains a gymnasium, accommodating basketball courts for all ages, volleyball, badminton,
gymnastics, netball, and indoor soccer.
The Arena Aquatic Centre has a 25 metre Lane Pool for the recreational and competitive swimmer,
aqua jogger and the friendly staff run aquatic programmes such as swimming lessons, school holiday
programmes, kayaking and flipper ball.
The Leisure Pool is anything but. Enjoy the thrills of the waves, ride the lazy river or plunge
down the hydro slide. Or calm down and relax in the spa, sauna and steam room.
The aquatic centre consists of:

The Arena Aquatic Centre sits at the centre of Te Rauparaha Park in the
heart of Porirua City, adjacent to Pataka Museum of Arts and
Cultures which includes Porirua Library and is handy to the MegaCentre Bulk Retailing Centre,
the central business district and North City Shopping Centre.
Outside the Arena Aquatic Centre, Te Rauparaha Park has been extensively landscaped and a
pedestrian promenade has been created along one side to link it with the shopping centre and harbour. The park is also
the site of a new-look skate park, which has been revamped and extended.
